You don’t need to have aspirations of becoming a prima ballerina to cultivate the strength and grace that come from the practice of ballet. In this class, we’ll work on developing lean muscles, improving coordination, and nurturing balance through barre work, strength exercises, targeted stretching, and light combinations. Through a mix of classical and modern ballet techniques, we’ll perform timeless moves to contemporary music while embodying the ancient spirit of dance. No tights, shoes, or prior experience necessary.

Maegan Beishline has a unique teaching method for her ballet class. She encompasses not only the basics of ballet but encourages strength, mindfulness and caring for the soul. Her ballet classes begin with poems that enlighten your spirit and take you to a place of well-being. The classes themselves include barre and floor work. Each individual student is encouraged to work at their own level and listen to their body and know its limitations. Class is not pressured and you will hear words of encouragement to allow you to grow your technique. A dancer for over 32 years and a certified yoga instructor, helping people incorporate more fluid movement into their lives has become one of my greatest passions in life. My approach to teaching combines elements of mind, body, and spirit and anchors itself in physical freedom of expression. Among my most notable experiences, my dancing journey led me to perform in the halftime performance for the 1995 Florida Citrus Bowl and serving as a varsity Duquesne Duquette. In addition to assisting and substituting for various area dance instructors, I worked as an assistant instructor for Karen Gronsky for five years and am so happy to be back at her studio, working with her once again. I have found so much joy teaching ballet to adults, guiding them as they awaken parts and pieces of themselves and learn to utilize dance and movement as a form of expression.
