“Dance, when you’re broken open. Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of the fighting. Dance in your blood. Dance when you’re perfectly free.” ~ Rumi

Modern Adult Dance at A Soulful Space, LLC.

Wednesday 5:30 – 6:45pm
8/31 – 10/17
$100/8 week Thursday session; 4 or more classes: $13.75/class; $15 drop in
You don’t need to have aspirations of becoming a professional dancer to cultivate the strength and grace that come from the practice of dance. In this class, we’ll work on developing lean muscles, improving coordination, and nurturing balance through center barre work, strength exercises, targeted stretching, and light combinations. Through a mix of classical and modern ballet techniques, as well as jazz, yoga, & pilates, we’ll perform timeless moves to contemporary music while embodying the ancient spirit of dance. No tights, shoes, or prior experience necessary. (Most people find that either ballet shoes or Toesocks with light padding are a bit kinder to their feet)

What people are saying…

My experience attending the ballet classes with Maegan Beishline was amazing. Her patience and easy instruction while learning the graceful moves were nothing short of professional and kind. She always made sure that I, as well as others, were comfortable with the moves and ready to move on to learning more. Beginning the class with an eloquent poem opened my mind to exploring more poetry, while closing with stretches/yoga moves brought the session to a perfect end. I am looking forward to following Maegan anywhere she decides to teach.~ Annie in Bloomsburg

Maegan Beishline has a unique teaching method for her dance class. She encompasses not only the basics of ballet but encourages strength, mindfulness and caring for the soul. Her ballet classes begin with poems that enlighten your spirit and take you to a place of well-being.  The classes themselves include barre and floor work. Each individual student is encouraged to work at their own level and listen to their body and know its limitations. Class is not pressured and you will hear words of encouragement to allow you to grow your technique. I would encourage adults that have taken ballet or always wished they could to try Maegan’s class and enjoy her holistic approach to dance.  ~Michele in Bloomsburg

Maegan’s Adult Dance is an excellent work out! I have never taken a dance class in my life, and I love this class! Great music, barre workout and cardio time. Maegan makes it fun and is so encouraging. I never miss a class! – Erin in Danville

About me… horizontal-line-websize

A dancer for over 32 years and a certified yoga instructor, helping people incorporate more fluid movement into their lives has become one of my greatest passions in life. My approach to teaching combines elements of mind, body, and spirit and anchors itself in physical freedom of expression. Among my most notable experiences, my dancing journey led me to perform in the halftime performance for the 1995 Florida Citrus Bowl and serving as a varsity Duquesne Duquette. In addition to assisting and substituting for various area dance instructors. I have found so much joy teaching dance to adults, guiding them as they awaken parts and pieces of themselves and learn to utilize movement as a form of expression.
